Good evening Henry ;
Yes , I mean the MGTD engine as designed , was pretty much trash .
I had a '52 (? IIRC ) MGTD and it was simply loverly , everything a proper English Sports Car should be but in terms of daily driving it or in my case , driving it hard , it was worthless .
I'da prolly bought that dead OM616 engine for $50 as sooner or later I need to yank the cylinder head off my '82 and having a spare head to begin with would make the job *much* smoother plus of course there's always some bits and bobs plus hardware , always the correct hardware .
My Son is approaching 40 Y.O. , my Grand Daughter just turned 3 Y.O. and my Great Grandson is 7 months old and very anxious to pull him self up and go walking to embrace the world .
Life is pretty damn good , I can die now .
