Rear wheel bearings don't usually need to be replaced. Are they making noise or what?

Here is a google search on the subject:

I have a 67 200d. This has drum brakes on the rear. I have already changed the bearings on the front which is disk brakes, so what should I expect to be different, or does anyone have experience changing bearings with drum brakes. Thanks.
