I checked at Autohaus, they list the same starter number for the 300 and 300TD ans 240. Well, my starters do work hard when I try and start in winter, but the main problem is the starter. Max

It's fairly easy to do .
I rarely have starter failures because I work diligently at keeping my engines in sharp tune so there's very little actual cranking going on .

Bosch rebuilt, main starter motor, , but I'm guessing everything else is crap. Good thing its easy on a 240. Hey, are the starters from TD's the same? I have a Turbo and a non, I was thinking maybe one of those would be a good MB starter. Max
