[diesel_mercedes] W-123 Fuel Tanks

I didn't think so .

The Junk Yardsa always bash HUGE holes in the tops of the Diesel tanks , I'm not sure why .

I have found a '79 280E (gasoline 6 cylinder) with a good fuel tank , is it the same as the Diesel's tank ?  .

It looks different in the connections to me .

Still no joy in finding a door side trim strip  , someone is ruthlessly scavenging all the W-123 trims parts and most of the Diesel engines too .
