It takes a couple of minutes for my battery (after cranking and starting) to recover after each start. My battery goes down to 10 or 11vdc while cranking. I'm not sure if it is a weak battery on the edge or a weak alternator. It starts and charges with an occasional scare when it just goes to battery voltage. So maybe it's a combination of both. If you have a weak battery your alternator will work harder. If your alternator is not doing it's job it will ruin your battery.....I just don't want to buy both. I'm going to give my battery a load test today. I have one of those 100 amp load testers with the big cords & clips I got from Harbor Freight. Wonder how much time to get a good test. The tester has a momentary switch. Lawrence Rhodes
