If the drain plug is at the lowest point in the tank, you’ll get all the diesel.
If not, or if you had the car jacked up high in the back, there may still be some in there. Bill in

I went to drain the fuel to change the fuel pump. It drained all 8 gallons in the tank??
I thought there was only supposed to be enough in reserve and that is what would have to be drained. The dealer said 2-3 gallons.
If anyone knows what is going on or where I am confused please set me straight.
