Well ;
If the alternator passes , it's hard wired to the battery so it must therefore be charging....
If not , follow the 1.5 MM red wire from the back of the alternator to the battery , IIRC it only has one joint in it , this joint might be loose or corroded .
Clean it with metal polish NOT sand paper or other abrasive ! .
Is the engine properly grounded ? .
I raised my charging rate by adding a ground strap from ther battery to the engine ~ photo of it in the photos on the home page .
