Ok, I'll address that tomorrow. I did unplug the switch but saw no changes.
I pulled out the cluster and while I was there I checked the speedo cable to find out it must be broken cable or not engaging in the transmission side.
More than likely broken from what I have read that it does brake.
while I had it unpluged I noticed the temp and gas gage pulsing crazily then my battery died.
I charged the battery and plugged the speed cable back in and the pulsing stopped and I did not see any batt power lose from just idling.
It had me thinking I should get under and see if there is any thing happening with the wiring to the transmission.
thought I'm thinking I read that there is very little else plugged into the trans than the vacuum line and speedo cable.
I also pulled the radio to examine wiring behind it and found the original 4 prong plug to have all the wires cut for but one. Wires were cut to splice into the new radio by someone.
I didn't find the one wire to help with the turn sign by touching it to ground so I guess that is not an issue.
But I'll look in the switch tomorrow. Thanks for the tips.
