Wow, I am much lighter today. About $1790 lighter as a matter of fact. But, I have a completely rebuilt transmission that should last another 300,000 miles. Happy with Victor in East Pasadena who stands behind his work, and says all the right words. Turns out it was not the B2 piston, but was the "?band?" that broke. Victor says he sees 99 of these breaking to only 1 of the B2's in his shop. I'll use him again for heavy duty stuff, although I think MB transmission repair is not overly complicated if you know what you are doing. brian

But I bought my wifes car (Martha) for $1800 - and that was for the whole car. It was more than a B2 piston replacement. Comments appreciated. brian
