Hey Ben, I'm trying to keep up with the math here...does this mean your gearbox was 1.5 quarts low to start with?

Jack,
Thanks. I drained about a half-quart of oil out of the gearbox this afternoon and installed 1.7 quarts of Redline MTL. I haven't driven it very far, yet, but it is going into 3rd and 4th a bit easier, now. I expect that it'll keep getting better over the next couple of days. That coupled with a complete clutch hydraulic rebuild has made the old car much more pleasant to drive.
I plan to put it into daily driver service starting tomorrow. As I drive it more and more it should get better and better.
Regards,
Ben Pender

YES! I use it in my '86
190D and
my '69 Harley. Both trannies are smoother
shifting and
quieter than before.
