I've got the speedometer out. I see two nuts above the steering column. Turns out there is a release button on my model that is on the dash side and with out a special tool I can't release it. I need to drop the steering column a bit to get to the pin. I have been told I can damage the steering column if I move it too far. Anyway the part is coming and I do want to finish this job. Will these two nuts allow me to lower the column? Is the release pin indeed there and is this how to do it? Seems everyone waits till the ignition is seized and drills out the old part. Nobody seems to know how to do it normally. But I am finding out and will document. Lawrence Rhodes..
