I bought a 1977 240d for the engine and drive train to put into a small van.The interior is great.
I know shipping the seats would be impractical but thought about removing the factory leather and headrests and selling them.
They are quite easy to remove and reinstall. I would not fold the leather but ship it as flat as possible I'm thinking $125 plus shipping for an original set of front and rear. Shipping cost will vary according to your location. If anyone is interested i will post more and better pictures.
$125 versus what the current poster will pay for his newly covered seats If you don't feel comfortable installing them i'm sure a good upholstery shop will do it for a reasonable fee.
