Was just leaving for an evening drive from Littleton to Riverside, RI for a friend's housewarming and the rain started as I left the driveway. Made it out of the neighborhood and the wipers worked for about 10 wipes making a progressively louder thunk/slap sound, then the driver side stuck in place and the pax side tried to move but was stuck. Turned off the whole mess asap and went straight home. Looks like the connecting linkage between the two has failed. I'm told they are hard to find unless new from Mercedes which are sure to be way expensive. Won't know what's what until I or my shop opens it up.
Quick questions: Anyone done this before? How hard is it? Are there workarounds? Anyone have a decent used linkage(s)? This was the one thing I ran out of time to strip out of the engine donor car and I knew at the time I would want/need it all someday....too bad for me...your folklore, advice, stories - as always - welcomed...
