Brian, Thanks, I've been in lurk-mode for a long time. The overhead at my shop got to the point that I simply couldn't justify it and so I closed it. I'm now actually an engineer at the Nissan engine plant near my house in Decherd, TN. I'm a Quality engineer working in the Dyno lab. Of interest to some on this list, Nissan will be building the new M274 engine for the 2015 C-class that will be built in Alabama. I happen to be the Dyno test engineer in charge of that project! Working for "the Man" instead of running my own business means that I actually have "free" time in the evenings and weekends. I find that I'm now able to spend nearly as much time turning wrenches in my home shop as I did when I had my shop because nobody comes to BS with me there! Because of that, I get to have a job that really suits my interests and skills, as well as a very enjoyable & lucrative hobby. AND I get to see/be with my kids every day. And have a comfortable living, and health insurance, and 401k, and, and...well, you get the picture. In my shop, I get to work at my own pace, and since its not my living any more, it truly is relaxing. I have to spend the month of March at the Mercedes plant in Stuttgart for M274-specific training, but when I get back, I plan to get the 240D back on the road. It is such a nice car that I want to have it streetable by the first Saturday in June so I can enter it in my EuroBrit car show.
