Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: glow plug problem

B,

I think you are lucky that you found Monark.

I have seen recommendations not to use Autolite.  I did and it burned out.  But I think my engine may have a "blob" in the way that is touching the plug and causing it to burn out.  So I am not sure if it was the plug or my engine.  Based on the consensus here, I will not buy Autolite again if I can avoid it.

If you are working at home and at your leisure, I would not mix brands.

If you are away from home and trying to hurry, I would not hesitate to mix brands.  So save those two good ones and carry them with you for future trouble.

(I bought some used but still good plugs and plan to use them when needed.  And I need to ream out the "blob".)

OK,
So I just found some Monark replacements for $13 each I would guess(?) that I would not want to mix brands, that they may want to heat at different rates? Just a guess.
Would any of you mix brands, or would it be a moot point, close enough?
Sid, still too near Niagara Falls
