I'm trying to get everything working on my 85 300D. It runs like a champ, just have a couple of electrical problems. I'll post the two problems in two separate emails just to keep them straight.
The first one is my windshield wipers. I have searched the forum and haven't found any similar problems that have been posted. Maybe I just missed it.
As soon as I turn on the key, the fuse for the wipers blows, even though the wiper switch is off. I replaced the wiper/turn signal switch. No luck. I have jumpered from the battery to the wiper motor connection on the firewall and the wipers work just fine. I obviously have a short somewhere. Has anybody experienced a similar problem? Any ideas?
