if you can cut out all the rust,prime area unless welding the hole.I have used fiber glass repair on floors,I have when could not weld used metal and rivets and pounded rivets lower than metal,then Bondo.If a easy color have paint store mix you a batch in pressurized gun.sand area reprime then wet sand.spray area,then four coats clear.Then wet sand and high speed buff.

And I'm always yammering about it to prospective buyers .
My '84 300CD had some paint bubbles onder the rear window when I bought it several years (and much blood , sweat , Dollars & tears) ago , yesterday I looked at it growing ever larger and poked at the paint bubbles with my key , now I have a _HOLE_ rusted right through the body into the trunk =8-( .
I gotta find an _honest_ paint shop and get this car re sparayed before it's ruined .
