I will guess that, from half-way and on, one of the rods that is bring pushed is bowing. Something is keeping it from moving further, and it is bending sideways. Can someone watch the whole linkage while you are pushing on the gas pedal?

So I lubed all the balls. But the problem persists. I believe it might be the it may be the bushing in the firewall. How do I access it from the inside of the car I can not even get my fingers up where it travels through the firewall. Is this something I accessed from underneath the car?
Even after lubricating all the connections the pedal feel is linear only halfway through its travel and I really have to squash down hard that second-half where it only moves a fraction farther. I'm guessing it has to be the Bushing but I'm not sure how to get to it.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
