[diesel_mercedes] Don't Be Afraid To Try

NOTE : topic drift , don't whine , use your Delete key .

As some here know , I'm always trying new things and dipping into complicated repairs as I like to learn and feel like I maybe know something (so far , no luck on that last bit) .

I live in a decrepit 1923 Bungalow for the last 30 years or so , since I bought the place the bathroom's sub floor underneath the toilet has been bad so the toilet wobbles when you sit on it and every 10 years , I have to replace the beeswax seal .

The American Standard cheapo toilet sucked out loud , it was an early low volume flush thing that often required three or even four flushes before it was done .

To - Day I picked up my son and his LARGE collection of Household Power Tools and we learned how to replace a rotted out subfloor , &
I showed him how to set a toilet .

I've been dragging my feet on this job for years now , expecting to get the demolition done then get stuck as I don't know anything about Carpentry nor Plumbing but it turned out to be not so bad after all and I'm extremely pleased with the $250.00 Kholer MEGA-FLUSH 90000 as it does it's thing near *instantly* and for only 1.6 gallons.....

The lesson here is : go ahead and try a new thing , the worse you can do is screw it up beyond all reason and have to call in the Carpenters
and plumbers......

I fear we've lost Trish too , more's the pity but her wretched 300D kinda broke her bank as well as unsettled her nice household .
