!!
Before you do anything else , try cleaning the cooling system with a Citric Acid powder and distilled water mix ~ this is what Ma 'Benz says to do , I wrote a treatse on it but I cannot find it .

Basically you mix one pound of Citric Acid with a couple gallons of distilled water out side of the car and fill your cooling system with it and drive it to work a day or two , then drain it out , flush it once or twice before re filling it with a 60/40 % mix of coolant and distilled water .

This is the proper way to clean the aluminum radiator hospital clean , it cannot damaged the various delicate aluminum parts throughout your cooling system .

Remember : coolant is LIQUID DEATH and it tastes sweet so your kids and pets will want to drink it and once ingested , THEY WILL DIE , no cure so have clean catch basins handy when you drain the old coolant out , wash spills away immediately .

The Citric Acid mix is harmless and can be disposed of easily .

If you cannot find Mercedes Coolant (it's special) your local Honda Auto Dealer will have the correct stuff , they even sell it pre mixed , not cheap but well worth the cost .
