Re: [diesel_mercedes] On Loaning Things to Women

WOW I wondered where those treats were! :)

Thank you again for the loan Chip!

And let me tell you something....I had more power & hand tools then Kevin did when we met, and I knew how to use ALL of them.  Now over a decade later my tool box has been raided my stuff is a mess and some is missing, lost, broken (Really? A pair of scissors to pry open an almost empty can of lighter fluid when you could have used a screwdriver and pop the top off!) , his tools are at work with him...humph!  My extension cords were nicely coiled and hung.  His stuff is scattered.  It drives me crazy when I need a tool!  I was raised by an engineer, that must be the difference.

Yesterday I got my wrenches I had loaned to Trish back safe and sound. I know many of you begged me not to loan anything to a women, each of you relating horror stories of the things you had lost to women over the years.

But guys, this deal came off without a hitch. So, I am going to vouch for Trish and her trustworthiness.

But, the homemade dog biscuits she enclosed along with my wrenches are another story! Not that I even have a dog, but the neighbor's dog would not touch them, nor the cat. In fact they are laying on my walk just now, all along, with no interest from even the ants and bugs and stuff.

So, loaning of wrenches YES. Ability of dog biscuit construction; suspect!
