If all you you have left to get on the road is the tranny filter, and for some reason can't find one, just change the fluid, and plan to change the filter soon. Unless the fluid was all burnt and brown it should be fine, for a bit, if you just change the fluid. Don't wait another 30K to change it, yet a few 1000 miles won't change much. That said, if the fluid looks and smells nasty, changing the filter first would be a good idea.

I "think" that's all for basic operation. Then of course there is the endless list of items...door locks, switch the passenger seat bottom for the drivers, wash the goats milk out of my back floor mat, see if the a/c works, I'll need it soon enough oh and find "new" speakers for the back...the former owner blew them out.
