Hi JC ;
There's actually TWO rubber bits needing changing , an O-Ring and then the boot that holds the lower pipe into the engine block ~ it must be removed by draining the oil then dropping the sump then using a wooden dowel to carefully knock the lower pipe up and out of the old , rock hard rubber , then you can carefully pry the rubber out in many tiny pieces before easily pressing the new boot in with your hand and re - assembling everything , often you can re use the gasket on the sump .
WARNING : _DO_NOT_ be a goof like some folks (ahem) and try to flat rate the job and remove the lower pipe from above ~ you'll wind up mangling the pipe before it comes out and you'll likely gouge the alloy hole the boot fits in so it'll dribble a bit forevermore....
I hope this helps , it is definately a DIY job , if messy .
