Gents, agree with Nate, she is a keeper, good wives are very hard to come by,, I have been without one for more than a dozen years, just keep a relationship with my bookkeeper, she is a keeper but not wife material tho.
As too a couple gallons of gas into the Diesel fuel, also if your worried about the ultra low sulfur fuel, here is my recommendation, buy yourself a case of the cheap type A automatic transmission fluid, use it by a quart to each gallon of gas in the Diesel tank, or in the case of the ultra low sulfur, about two quarts per 20 gallons or each tank,, should do the trick. Add to the tank before filling, so it will mix better.
Maybe illegal in California tho, but I won't tell, it works tho, have done that since about 1959, hundreds of times an no problems, actually it solves many a problem.
Type A is a low viscosity, high detergent fluid originally used in 40s an 1950s automatic transmissions, an has been used by pro techs for many years for several problems in engines, like sticking valve lifters an oil pump screens dirty or pressure relief valves trying to stick, an slow cleaning or flush of old , high mile engines.
I would not put type A into the crankcase of a Diesel tho, due too the extra high bearing loads of the Diesel, would be a possible problem there, never have done that tho, maybe with a very high mile Diesel engine, an not wanting to tear it down, or do a overhaul. But only for maybe 5 miles of lite driving or fast idle for 30 minutes.
