[diesel_mercedes] Waxing a Bad Penny

 

My 1982 Turbo Coupe is light metallic blue. Paint is all original and no body damage ever on my car. But the paint is faded, clear coat bad on top surfaces and discoloration around the filler tank.

Does it matter if I continue to wax the car? I don't plan on having it repainted, I am hooked on keeping it all original.
