About five-years ago I replaced the wheel bearings in the Ironhead ('82 XLS).  The original bearings, Timken, were "Made in USA".  The replacements, also Timken, same part numbers, were stamped "Made in Poland".

Even companies like Timken are manufacturing off shore. They specify
higher quality standards to the manufacturers, supposedly.
