Nate, (Stupid question) You said "clear filter screen". Just to
make sure I got this right - I think our cars come with three filters
1. Inside the fuel tank is a screen on the fuel pickup. 2. About half
way from front to back, near the bottom of the engine is a small clear
filter that looks like an add on filter from AutoZone and much too
cheap to be on a MB. It is called the primary filter. 3. Near the
front of the engine and high up is a big filter that looks llike it
goes on MB. It is called the secondary filter. The one you are
talking about is the primary filter. Is that the one you were
talking. (Reality note - my MB, like many others, has another filter
added by a previous owner.) Bobby
