Does anyone know off hand how the glow plug lamp is actuated? I have the glow
plug relay out and have the connector dangling. I want the light to tell me
when I'm holding the momentary switch if I'm making contact. If the glow plug
light lights then I know I have 12v to the main relay. If it doesn't light I
have a problem. I think my modification is better than stock. I can control
how much to give or not. With the old relay I counted to ten and started. This
way the glow light comes on(when I figure how to wire it) and I count to ten.
Not much difference and this very durable relay(not that the mercedes wasn't as
it lasted 34 years) cost 35 bucks. I have the pinouts somewhere. Not sure if
it needs to be grounded or have 12 volts applied. The wiring diagram would help
