Max,
Many cars have a magnet in the transmission pan (on Automatics). Clean it, too - it is harder to do than it sounds - stick to it and you;ll get there.

So when you drop the pan to change the filter, you are cleaning out the inside of the pan, changing the filter, right? That's all you can clean, right? Max
