Max,

Many cars have a magnet in the transmission pan (on Automatics).  Clean it, too - it is harder to do than it sounds - stick to it and you;ll get there.

I was refering to this Subaru I just got. One neat thing is they FINALLY put a spin on transmission filter on the car. But holy crap they cost over $30. I wonder if there is one inside too. So when you drop the pan to change the filter, you are cleaning out the inside of the pan, changing the filter, right? That's all you can clean, right? Max
