Which may mean Nate would not have to swap cylinder heads. Maybe he can simply figure a way to mount the pump off a DS.
Did the 450SEL 6.9 use a pump separate from the head or block?

We drove it up to Ventura to chat with the Body & Paint guy yesterday , four adults & windows down as the AC quit . 439 miles , 27.1 MPG ~ lots of rapid acceleration too ~ this Wagon goes like a scalded car when I tromp the throttle . The Hydraulic SLS rear suspension works a treat too ~ it never dips , wavers , bottoms out no matter what . SWEET ! . I should prolly go find a junked Wagon and scavenge this SLS system for my Coupe . Of course that would entail changing the cylinder head but still and all it's a simply _marvelous_ suspension system . -Nate
