The blocking of the trans oil lines by a hose reminds me of the time when I was thinking of blocking the leaking engine oil cooler lines off, but decided to replace them. On these the pressure is also too high to just use hose and clamps to disconnect them from the oil cooler.

I got tired of leaky vacuum at the door panels. So I just golf-teed the vacuum line from the brake booster to the door panels. Sure I can't lock my doors anymore (and have also disconnected the gas tank door vacuum), but I've never locked my car door in years. Nothing to steal in there. And no crook is gonna break a window glass to get in. He can just open the door.

Just making things simpler.
