It is a 97 Presidential edition (if I remember corectly); I was forced to put it in storage, because I had my 300SD stored in the same yard and the neighbors complained to the city. The body on the SD is rotten but the motor is good so I keep it. The Lincoln would probably sell for no more than $1K on Craigs and the exterior paint's clear coat is all bubbled, and these are a 'dime a dozen.' You are probably right about the motor size; I apologize for the misinformation. The motor has a lot of power and YT has a few Volvos that have been repowered...take a look. I am concered about getting such a beast insured, though.
I am saving the 300SD body to hold the motor until I find a decent 240D body, preferably with a manual trans. I like the idea of a mechanically spartan chassis with a more powerful motor. From what I have read here, because of the generous sharing of knowledge, I think it will swap directly.
