[diesel_mercedes] Newbie vacuum question # 1

 

Hello All

I am trying to track down the vacuum leaks in my new 1978 300D.

I am assuming that if I pump vacuum into a line and it immediately looses the vacuum it is not supposed to work that way, there is a big leak.

I am also assuming that if it slowly looses the vacuum there is a smaller leak.

Please let me know if I am right.
