RE: [diesel_mercedes] <<<<<HELLOOOOOOO>>>>>.......

If you DO drive to Colorado Springs, figure on filling up in Woodland Park.  Yeah, it's about 15-miles west of town, but, for some reason, diesel up there is at $3.75 a gallon, a good 15-cents cheaper than it is in the Springs.  Those same Woodland Park stations are selling premium at $3.90 a gallon, standard unleaded at $3.62.

I don't understand what's going on there.  Typically, fuel/gasoline is HIGHER in the mountain towns, due to extra cost to truck it in, and the lower frequency of stations justifies a higher price due to a scare factor.  But, this is how it's been in Woodland Park the last month or so.  (Actually, the price has gone down.  Was $3.78 a diesel gallon last Tuesday.)

Pretty quiet here lately.

But tomorrow - I wash Mary, then I put her rear end in the air and change her rubber donuts, look at greasing any exposed CV joints, and then start waxing her down again. Got 2 new front tires coming next week before leaving for one week in Las Vegas. Then get home for a week and thinking about driving to Colorado Springs CO, Columbus, Ohio, then flying from Columbus to Charlotte and back, then driving from Columbus to Tacoma area before returning to LA.

That should make her my daily driver for awhile. Ordering $200 of some odds & ends tonight to keep me safe while I travel.
