[diesel_mercedes] Re: Dextron VI Valvoline. How long. in a 240D?

I am a T-1 certified Amsoil dealer. Amsoil recommends running their ATF for 100K under normal conditions, 50K with severe (towing ect.) Their 15-40 diesel oil is good for 3x OE recommendation or longer as determined by oil analysis. I have been running Amsoil in my duramax GMC since it was new doing an analysis once per year. I got 100K miles out of the first oil batch before the analysis recommended changing the oil. Pretty impressive.

My suggestion, always use the recommendations of the oil company. The should have tested it and going longer could be trouble.

If anyone wants to purchase amsoil, I can set you up as a prefered account and you get 20% off of retail.
