Right now, you can get a one-and-a-half-year-old sedan with 35k miles on it for about half the original sticker price. $200 a month payment but insurance and tax will eat you up LOL and next year, gas will probably be back to $5 a gallon.

That's why I have an 83 300D and an 83 300SD as well as my 2003 Sprinter.  In a form of positive reinforcement, I recently visited Cuba, the home of the '50s American car.  Had a ride in a 53 Ford Convertible with a Japanese engine.  They don't have the rust problems we have in the North, but they do have parts supply problems.  It does show that you can keep the old iron running.
