This group provides a forum for owners and operators of diesel powered motorhomes and 5th wheel tractors to discuss mechanical issues, regulatory issues (US, Canada), ownership, insurance, campground accommodations, trip reports/suggestions, and other topics relevant to large RVs and the people who drive them.

Presumably these was an automatic ? .
The automatic will up shift eventually saving the engine from revving itself to death .
I live in a College town and see the stupid brainless kiddies zooming along in second or third gear hard against the governor , hoping it'll maybe somehow go a *little* bit faster before they speed shift it to the next higher gear ~ looking under the hood _always_ shows fresh oil everywhere as they force it out of every joint .
Over speeding engines kills them , no way around that basic fact .
There's a world of difference between mindlessly over revving and engine and driving it hard to keep it clean .
