[diesel_mercedes] W123 fuel caps and that sucking sound. Problem! Tank vent clogged.

 

Cleaned out and replaced the piece of hose I tore taking it out. Problem is
between outlet and tank. How do you clean that? Cleared up small blockage to
the dongle. Passage to tank is blocked but won't hold a vacuum. I did drive
the car a hundred miles without venting cap. Not a good situation. How to
clean is the problem. As far as I know it's all metal pipe up to the top of
tank. Is there another hose I can clean out? Lawrence Rhodes
