a) I get a lot of such small stuff from PAP's cuz I just can't stop myself from shopping; b) you will never go wrong in getting good stuff from Tom at Classic Center; c) Autohaus in AZ usually beats everyone price wise and you can see pictures of the product; d) Performance Products rarely beats anyone on prices but their catalog is superb and I have scanned their vehicle pages to my hard drive so I can enlarge them; e) Rock Auto has a great drill down parts lists; f) Rusty, Mercedes Source, and others have great hands on information and knowledge that they will share; g) google is great for typing in w123 or w126 or pontoon "xyz" and coming up with hundreds of DIY posts.
Then I save the URL's to folders such as "DIY parts" or "MB DIY" or whatever.
Enjoy the journey. Some of it is driving, some of it is fixing, all of it is fun.

Nate,
Thanks for taking the time to color code the vacuum lines on the coupe. That is huge help getting this going again.
Yesterday I capped off the yellow and the yellow and black door lock system and put everything back together until I could hear from someone on this. With yesterdays work, everything shut down and shifted much better, not perfect, but getting there.
What about the check valves? First, is it critical to get the MB originals (I think I know your answer) and if so, where is a source on the valves? The check valves have been placed on the wrong string of vacuum lines as well, the green valve in with the yellow, and I now know that is not correct. It seems the green check valve is suppose to service another function.
I appreciate your time and knowledge of these systems. I'll get this fixed by the weekend if I can get parts here in Houston.
