Okay...
Tried to relube the glide pins on the rear calipers.
Thought it was better-- but again, until today the noise was intermittent-- and usually after being on the highway
Looked today-- there are metal filings between my rear rotor, and backing plate.. Turning the driver's rear wheel, makes a pretty ugly grinding sound.. I don't feel any "false movement" but the grinding is sensational now..
....I've sent an email to Tom Hanson-- so he can start putting a quote for me together.
So..
That said-- I'm going to bite the bullet.
Here's what I know/assume I need to replace..
1) Rear springs.. Are the SDL ones stiffer??
2) Flex discs.. Both, and hardware..(the front and rear are the same, correct?)
3) The Differential Support
4) Driveshaft support/bearing
5) Rear wheel bearings/races/seals. Specialized grease if it's not "included" with one of the above?
6) Subframe bushings/control arm bushings...
7) Inner and outer cv boots. I want to re-boot them. What's there's intact-- or I believe to be (I looked tonight)
8) Anything else you can think of?
I need to get the parts on the way-- I've got a friend who's off work right now, he can use the money, and has a lift/torch-- etc..
I assume I'll need the tool to get the CV shafts off-- any other "specific" tools?? And anyone like to "sell" or "rent" me theirs??
Anthony
