Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: No heat or fan when cold out, though fine when warm.

The weather has warmed up out here, so the heater is working fine again.
If we get another cold spell, I'll try to short the sensor wires.
I'll check out where all the thermostats are anyway, so I'm ready.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Ecklers MBZ Parts Catalog

Been there and have the tee shirt.  Seems that everything I need has to be shipped from Navada or some foreign country.
I find that MBUSA just drops the ball when dealing with my 82, 85 and not so much 99 parts.

Just got my 1954-2013 Ecklers MBZ Parts Catalog today (used to Performance Products). Why post about this? Because the catalog is one of the 5-10 DIY books I keep close. Why ahve it? It is free which meets my criteria. And, because it has blown up schematics and all parts labeled and databased. I have even scanned the pages referencing my 1983 w123 300d's. This allows me to enlarge the pics in the computer, and then print out whatever enlarged part pics I need while working outside on a car. They are at "EcklersMBZparts.com" brian from laverne

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Ecklers MBZ Parts Catalog

Better than that, I just put your tele# in my cell phone, and I am going to take my wife out to eat at my nieces restaurant (The Brig, Dana Point), and stop in at the Classic Center so she can look at the cars that don't leak fluids.
