Not only do they need to get the range up, but also the recharge time down.

Electric cars may be the future, but certainly not the near future.  As Rob pointed out, with the current oil glut (and now with Iran coming into the market, to add to the glut), there is no real end to low oil prices.  This is going to drive down electric car prices, too.

There was an interesting segment on CBS Sunday Morning today (Jan. 31) about the glut, and the effects on former boom towns here in the US.  I guess you can get some cheap, repoed cars in West Texas right now....

I'll be with you. The new lower priced Tesla sounds promising.

Didn't know you lived in Lodi. My Aunt lived there for over 50 years.
