Boyd,
I haven't tried it for this application, but 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive works for most everything.
Caution - 3M makes lots of products with similar names. Make sure you get the Super that is yellow. Another caution - once this dries, it is hard to get off and it is ugly, so clean up as you go.
It needs to be clamped into place to dry. Make any improvised clamp you can think off - you will be able to remove the clamps the next day.
You could combine 3M super weatherstrip with John's stainless steel screws and leave the screws.
Good luck,
Good luck,
Bobby

I am also having bumper problems on my 82. The rubber strip has been pulled away from the chrome bumper. I can get the rubber back into position, but the tabs that keep it in place have been brittle and broken off. Trying to find an adhesive that will work. Has anyone found one?

Has anyone done this and is it expensive? I ask because have to fabricate an old style bumper either from steel (and chrome it) or from Stainless steel. Also, I will be fabricating a windshield, probably, similar to a t-bucket style; where does one get a windshiled fabricated, that is the glass cut for this? I'll fabricate a frame for this also.
Thanks for any of tips,
