Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Merry Christmas

I saw the Spruce Goose in Long Beach, and only paid $10. I also made the mistake of being in Probate Court when the Howard Hughes case was called on the docket - about 100 attorneys sprang to their feet representing everyone from Moroni to Methusaleh. Being slow of wit, I was not quick enough to claim some family relationship myself.

I just made it home after a insane trip to Sacramento. Riding with some crazy drivers(my brother), I feel lucky to be alive. Drove tru heavy, heavy snow at Mt. Shasta, rain so hard in Oregon when we passed a truck you could not see anything, even tho everyone still drove at least 70mph. I will never do that again. I somehow lost Henry's case of HC-12a in the middle of Oregon, still trying to figure that one out. I went to the Evergreen airplane museum in Mc Minville Oregon and saw the Spruce Goose and about a 1000 other vintage airplanes. Wow, that was amazing. Worth the $20 to get in. Happy to be home and happy to still be alive. Hey how did you Orange County boys make out? I see you have been in the news a lot lately. I saw some of my old favoriet places got wiped out by rain and mud. Max(next time I'm driving the 240)

Re: [diesel_mercedes] running centrifuged oil

hhmm, thanks.
well, the Cummins sure starts faster, and even with no glow plugs.
That's all I was going by.
Cummins: 175K miles
240 (probably, no odo.), 275K miles. Spins fast enough.

FWIW, the Cummins has 16:1 compression, I think the 240 is 21:1...

[diesel_mercedes] running centrifuged oil

HI all,
so, I'm running my first batch of WMO, in my 93 Dodge Cummins.
I'm using this truck, as my first test, since, it is easiest starting, and
probably better compression than the 240D.

I'm running 25% WMO, to diesel.
It seems to start and run fine.
Slightly more smoke, I think.

so, so far, so good.

I may wait for warmer weather, to put the WMO fuel in the 240, just from
starting issues.

Henry

Yea, while the bright sun is degrading the rubber and plastic parts on your car, ours have a protective covering of ice and snow which lengthens their life and gives them the strength and resilience to hold the rusted and corroded parts together.   Remember rubbing your good fortune in to those of us who for one reason or another have had a particularly nasty winter visited on us may be paid back in the future by your own problems.

Looking good Santa. Always thought you had a sleigh? Where's the deer?
That a dead body in the front seat?

So many questions, I know.

Happy New Year Nate!
