Yes, the dryer was replaced and Ester oil was used .
I don't have an evacuation pump , I last worked on AC seriously in 1985, fixing leaky ceramic seals on new Delco R4 equipped cars at LAX.......
I don't really know who / where to take this thing for proper evacuation and charging ~ it may well have been over charged .
R4 pumps were junk from new. GM's answer to cheapening the old A-6, probably the best pump ever made.
Seeing as how it's proving to be pretty leak-proof, you should be able to take it to most an qualified shop with AC service and get is sucked down and recharged.
The government recently re-introduced freon sale regulation, so you can't buy your own anyways.
