[diesel_mercedes] Re : On the road again

Yeah ;

I hear you Max ! you guys think I'm fast but not really , my son passes The Enterprise during his daily L.A. commute =8-^. few non racers ever ride with him twice , Tom rode out to Las Vegas with him once and I believe they arrived about 15 minutes before they'd left L.A. .

I rarely let him drive , to - day he showed up in his new vintage Myers Manx Dune Buggy with 2 liter engine and we drove it a bit , turns out it's too light so the front wheels want to loose ground contact @ freeway speeds OUCH ~! I won't be riding in that thing anytime again soon .

The 240D runs out of steam a bit past 80 MPH and feels very stable at that speed to me .

My son says his new Subaru WRX Wagon has " too much body roll for racing " ~ I can only imagine what that means =8-) .

As we were driving past Henry's we got in a race with a new Vette. Holy crap, 125 mph is too fast for my 240 diesel Mercedes mentality. I guess it was a rush and I couldn't do anything anyway, I was just along for the ride. Max

Looks like a dick crusher to me.  Maybe a girl could ride it comfortably for
hours but not a guy.  This topic while cool is off topic.  If you want to be on
topic go the the Zappy yahoo group or V is for Voltage forum.  I happen to be a
moderator on the Zappy group.  Anyone here is welcome but you must say you are
interested in electric vehicles.  Not that you just want to join the group.

Not in the same league, but this summer i converted a garden tractor to electric, works great and is quiet, and cheaper to operate.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Voltage to monovalve - how does it work?

When you figure it out, let me know - I have a relatively new monovalve that is not behaving properly.

I replaced my monovalve, nothing obviously wrong with the one I took out. Checked the voltage to monovalve using different settings, it gets full battery power (13.x volts) on max cold in a/c and economy settings, and virtually no power anywhere else. I did notice some 6 - 7 volt readings in the center temp settings when I first started the car up but after it warmed up it would only send voltage on max cold setting. It was not sending voltage even when set to the coldest setting just before the max detent. I don't know if there is a delay or what. Anyone know how the voltage to the monovalves is supposed to work?

Thanks,

Jim
