RE: [diesel_mercedes] 240d engine in Jeep acting up [2 Attachments]

It's an 81 CJ7 with an early YJ tub. This is my second MB diesel in this jeep. The first was a 300 but it had poor compression in 1 and 2 and the tranny wouldnt go out of second until it warmed up. This 240D came available last Christmas and it has a manual transmission. I think jeeps should have 4 bangers and manny trannys.

yeah it's me! haha
smooth and quiet, indeed. Mine was pretty fast, too, and ran right
around 30mpg.
