[diesel_mercedes] Re: [dieselMercedes] ATF in the vacuum lines

OK, I replaced the tranny modulator with the new and improved model, cleared the remaining ATF out the lines, and it shifts really smooth, shuts off, locks work, I like it. I'll test it out more this week.

The new and improved tranny modulators have a knob on the outside, that you can adjust the shift, rather than having to pull the cap and turn the pin.

Driving the truck was fine, yet I'm ready to drive my MB now.

Has anyone had ATF in their vacuum lines?

I'm assuming I just need a new tranny modulator, yet just checking in with others to see if it could be more.

The ATF gets sucked up into the vacuum system and rots out the rubber bits. For the short term, I added a small engine fuel filter to the vacuum line, to the tranny today, which should catch the ATF before it heads further in. Hopefully things aren't wrecked in there already.

I also swapped out my climate control module today with another one in the garage, and can enjoy the blower again, with heat and vent. The blower was only coming on, with the Defrost and the left AC buttons.
