I love the license tag!  I hope the Polizei leave you alone.  And the coupe looks great!

Well ;

At least the rain held off most of the day (it's 3:45PM and I've felt a few raindrops) so I was able to do a routine oil & filter change, I also am trying a non vented oil filler cap as this old one weeps a bit and drives me crazy ~ it turns out there's a gasket deep inside the two piece swedged cap that prevents it from venting and this gasket dies eventually, I'm not sure how to fix it, maybe soak the cap until it's 100 % oil free, invert it and then fill the cavity with some liquid sealant, must be very thin to work into the crevices it's weeping oil out of....

For the moment I took a spare non vented 40MM fuel filler cap and installed that, it looks funny 'cause the tabs are mis aligned so it's crooked .

Then I removed the European bumper I put on a while back and rubbed a fence with last Summer, it's a three piece unit with rubber impact strips and other little German oddities, took it all apart and spent a few hours hand polishing and de rusting the chrome bits, then dug in my pile 'o bumpers until I found some better, less scraped/gouged/cracked rubber impact strips, cleaned everything up and found some 8MM flat washers so all the various bits are now well gusseted and won't rattle, squeak etc. until I carelessly rub another junkyard fence.....Emoji .

Sometimes I'm an idiot but I'm mostly happy so it's a wash .

After the bumper was back on the car I dug out the "Euro Style" front license plate I had made in Germany that has "California", the state bear and the correct alpha numeric on it, looks pretty spiffy, let's see how long before the Gendarmes tell me to remove it.....

I also waxed the left front fender, it had some scratches & paint from the junkyard fence as well as simply dirty from my hands and the recent endless rains, I still need to wax the entire car but quit when the occasional rain props became more often .

? What do you guys think of my new license tag ? .
