Last time I drove my 240 brakes went mushy, then came back. I better remember when Ican start driving again this fall to replace the master. I've heard with a clutch it can be a bitch to bleed. Max

The master cylinder is kaput ~ get rid of it A.S.A.P. before it fails and you hit something and destroy the car or kill someone .

It's an easy job to change it and the bleeding of the brakes afterwards will ensure your brake fluid is nice and fresh .

There was no MB 123s at the Anaheim PAP on Fri (50% sale), though I did
find some Volvo rims I needed.
Hopefully they don't skim all the MBs, and let a few get to the PAPs
around here.

A little time opened up, so next, replace Subframe bushings, swaybar, &
Diff mount, then injectors (Monarch nozzles w/ pop tester)
Nate, have you used a pop tester before?

My wife's new to us '85 Volvo 240 needs to get the whole suspension kit
I took off our smashed Volvo, as well as other work. The smashed '86
Volvo is still sitting in the driveway, as I'm still pulling parts, and
may look for one with a blown engine and swap.

[diesel_mercedes] VIN meanings

 

I am getting some keys made via the Classic Center in Irvine, and there was an issue regarding my VIN on Martha. I have the VIN explanations in several places, but wanted to post Autohaus's concise, all in one place, explanation. They may have copied it from somewhere else too.
